Commuting to Jersey City

Submitted by MGNY on Tue, 04/11/2017 - 12:46pm

Hello! I've done a search on the MB already but couldn't find any recent info.

Does anyone commute from Manhattan to Jersey City and have a good route from the GWB to JC?

What's your favorite "car start" location for rides east side of the Hudson?

Submitted by nyccjohnw on Mon, 04/10/2017 - 10:57am

Seeking help from the hive mind to expand my ride repertoire.

I recently moved out to eastern Queens and have access to a car, and I'd like to gather more "car start" ride options starting in Westchester / CT or thereabouts -- the idea being that I can shoot up the Throgs or Whitestone bridges in a car and be up at good ride starts in 45 minutes, rather than slogging through Queens both ways to Grand Central Station all the time or eating lots of junk miles getting out of the city.

When I train it, I'll usually start at the Harrison, Scarsdale, or Tarrytown MNR stops depending on where I'm headed. So I'm familiar with those.

Daylight Lights For Visibility

Submitted by RRGilbert on Thu, 04/06/2017 - 5:56pm

Does anyone have suggestions for both front and rear lights to make me more visible when I ride alone during the day?  I have a decent rear light, but still would like to hear what others recommend.   Thanks.

B16 - Thursday 5:45am Central Park laps - canceled

Submitted by LWintner on Wed, 04/05/2017 - 8:59pm

Once again the weather forecast is showing a really high chance of rain in the morning, so I'm canceling.  That means I will once again go to spin class.

I hope next week's weather is better.
