Outdoor 20 Minute FTP Test Location Suggestions
Hi all!
Have just moved to the States and am getting a little more serious with cycling, to the extent that I just bought a power meter (PowerTap P1 - highly recommend). I'm looking for inspiration on a good location to do a 20 minute FTP test (i.e. relatively constant gradient, no stop lights, no pedestrians etc.) in Manhattan, Brooklyn or NJ. Ideally I'd do it at Bear Mountain, alas it is a bit far away for an FTP test...
Appreciate your thoughts!

A SIG Weekday Training Schedule?
Hi all,
I'm interested in training with the A SIG next year, and I know that riding midweek is a key requirement. Can one of the leaders or recent grads tell me which weekday(s) you typically ride? My work schedule makes mornings difficult, so I'd like to get a head start on moving things around for next year.
Thanks,
Ilya
Metro North train request deadline
I was just advised from the Metro North Bike Group liaison that ride requests for the coming weekend must be submitted by me noon, the Tuesday before the weekend.
Since I actually have a full time job, your requests must be submitted to NYCC in your ride submission by Monday at the latest.
Your submission is safer by getting them in Sunday, leaving wiggle room.
Bike during my lunch breaks?
Greetings again NYCC,
This time I am posting not representing the Shimano Bike NYC shop, but rather as an employee with a question.
None of this message or this thread is a reflection of the opinions and ideals of Shimano.
That being said, I work at shimano bike nyc down in soho, and i like to take the bikes out on my lunch break to explore the city.
My breaks are about an hour, but after eating i really only have about 40 min to ride.

SUMMER STREETS - August 5, 12, and 19 - NEED VOLUNTEERS TO MAN NYCC TABLE
NYCC is participating in Summer Streets, August 5, 12, and 19 this year. Our table will be on 26th Street between Park and Madison Aves.
We could use more help in general, but especially on:
August 12: 7a.m. to 9 a.m.
August 12: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
August 19: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
You can ride Summer Streets (Park Ave closed from 72nd Street to Brooklyn Bridge from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.) before or after your duty.
Please get back to me if you can spare 2 hours of your time. Any help is appreciated.

OH MY! An artsy-foodie Labor Day Weekend Trip to the Fields at OMI
Well, while we were being rained on for Day 2, sounds like there was a lot of "clothing optional" banter back here! All in all the trip was a success despite the downpour on the O-day (Omi day). We exerted a few extra carbon emissions zipping around in 2 vehicles seeing Hudson, Olana House and Omi regardless, basically making sunshine despite the rain. A couple of people smartly did the Omi loop on the Saturday when it was fine (with the help of gasoline).
I'm a Millennial and I need a badge for my hard work
Hi Friends!
As I mentioned, I'm a Millennial that loves my awards and have waited for 3ish months since the SIGs ended for my badge and it still hasn't arrived.
Can anyone give me an update on how often this happens and when I can expect my e-awarding to happen.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best,
Andrea Dibben
