Are there GPS tracks / cue sheets for the D-SIG rides available anywhere?

Submitted by nyccjohnw on Wed, 04/17/2019 - 1:37pm

Just asking for those of us who aren't in the D-SIG but might be interested in venturing out on our own and getting in some dirt experience.

Why does the board want to reconstitute the club as a 501(c)3?

Submitted by CMordas on Tue, 04/16/2019 - 3:19pm

When will the board provide the members their rationale for moving forward with this change and when will the members be allowed to vote on this?

Thanks.

This is a problem you don't want to deal with, yet it is merely one click away.

Some somewhat random questions - Charity status and financials

It's absolutely great that everything is up on the site.  I really mean this, and I hope I didn't come off as disrespectul to anybody specific in raising questions as to where they were.   .. that out of the way (maybe), a couple questions on some things, if I may.  I hope various members of the board do read these questions and discussions, as I wouldn't know which specific person(s) such should be addressed to privately.

1) March minutes indicate 2018 Income was overstated by $20,000.  I think that means the club technically actually had a loss of about $3K in 2018?   But since this will transfer over to 2019, we'll probably be better off, come the next P/L statement?

Let's have a civil discussion about incivility.

In a different thread here, Brian V. pulled the following from the just posted minutes from the Jan. 9, 2019 board meeting:

MILLING AND PAVING EAST DRIVE CENTRAL PARK

Submitted by AResnick on Mon, 04/15/2019 - 1:07pm

Starting tonight April 15th the Central Park east drive milling and paving will commence.  Conservancy says they will mostly mill AND pave, not the usual mill and more milling before paving.  We shall see.  Be aware as some sections maybe only milled.  Plan is starting at east 90th and going to 110th..  I assume ending where the paving was last done. Caution!

CP East Drive Milling

The following message comes from the Central Park Conservancy Recreation Committee:

"I am writing to alert you to a Department of Transportation project in the Park which will begin this evening, Monday, April 15th. DOT will be milling and paving the upper East Drive, from E 90th to 110th. The work will be done overnight beginning each evening at 9:00pm and stopping at 5:00am. This is a major endeavor because the East Drive is an extra lane wide. Dot is planning to mill and pave as they go which will reduce the stretches of Drive that will be milled only, and thus rough surface, during the daytime.
