NYCC Facebook page -- what's the status?
I just visited the regular (nonmember) FB page for NYCC, and unless I'm missing something, nothing's been added or posted for almost 3 months?
The benefits of having riders in a group talk about themselves.
I begin every ride by asking each rider to introduce him-/herself—last names as well as first—and to answer a question inteded, as I say to elicit the entire personality of the rider so we have something to talk about to one another other than Campy v. Shimano and gear inches.

Does anyone have recent experience of using transit to get oneself + bicycle to the Adirondacks? I know I've taken a bike on the Montreal train, but that does not seem to be an option any more. Am looking for other options.

WANTED: Donated 16" Hybrid Bike for Veteran
NYCC Members:
I’m helping a veteran continue to improve the quality of his life through a program at the Bronx VA. I mentioned my involvement with NYCC and he lit up and he let me know he’d been an avid rider years ago. At our next get together he told me know he’d been daydreaming about getting back on a bike and riding with his son and daughter and would like to start riding again. I took him to Recycle A Bike to check out bike size and style. We didn't see anything that fit or that he could afford.

GPS Week Number Roll
I wasn't aware that we are going to hit something similiar to Y2K tonight. It is called GPS Week Number Roll.
DCR has a posting about it: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2019/04/your-gps-watch-will-most-likely-continue-to-work-fine-tomorrow-april-6th.html .
If you are using a relative new-ish device, you should be ok. If you have an older device, the date/time will be off on the device and in the logs/FIT files, etc, BUT navigation will not be affected.
