A simple solution for those displeased with the board's operations

2 simple steps:

  1. Step away from the keyboard
  2. Get involved in actual work to improve the club

The best way to learn about how the board operations, and (more importantly to) have a real voice in shaping it, is to run for a seat, volunteer in some other meaningful way, or do something constructive towards the betterment of the club!

The C SIG is postponing it's ride to Sunday

Submitted by PHofherr on Fri, 04/19/2019 - 5:49pm

Due to weather conditions forecast for tomorrow, the C SIG will postpone it's ride to Sunday. You should receive an email to that effect from your group leader but check to see if there's a time change.

We will make the call on Sunday to go or not to go and we will post it here.

You might want to wear a light rain jacket on Sunday just in case.

B-STS MOVED TO SUNDAY

B SIG is cancelled for this weekend

Submitted by FLeffel on Fri, 04/19/2019 - 1:05pm

Mother nature is not cooperating, so we are cancelling this weekend.

Please note that we are pushing the schedule back one week, so that the Armonk/Orchards ride will be next Saturday, the century will be on May 4th and the graduation ride will be on May 11.

The Rockland County Legislature unanimously approved a resolution to support a bike path bypass at the Route 6 traffic circle in Harriman State Park. Thank you, Legislator Alden Wolfe, for proposing and supporting the resolution. Let's keep up the pressure on NY State DOT to approve the project!

First Aid for Cyclists. Leading the program will be our own Dr Ed Fishkin.  This is an extremely valuable evening, so I hope you will do all you can to be there. There is a $20 fee, but 100% of the proceeds go to the Kids Ride Club.

Forum masters are picqued by criticism. This is not criticism: it is inquiry. I civilly ask here for explanations, that's all.

Cold Spring Gravel Ride this weekend

Submitted by TWengerd on Thu, 04/18/2019 - 9:31am

Hi!

I would like to go to Cold Spring for a gravel ride on Sunday. Does anyone want to join?

https://nycc.org/node/85790/85743

The train that I have in mind is the 8:32am from GCT.

Disclosure: I have not scouted this ride, and I have not led a ride before. Please bring extra tubes and make sure your bike is in working order. Don't forget your bike pass for the train.

Best,

Tim

A pair of black and silver readers in an orange neoprene slipcase, lost somewhere today while riding. I'll buy you a beer if you find them.
