Skills coach

Submitted by EODonnell on Sat, 08/08/2020 - 6:21am

I am looking for a coach for a friend whose handling skills are problematic.  We are not looking for someone who would do HIIT/High Intensity Interval Training, but rather someone who can coach on riding in the peloton, tight pace lines, properly negotiating turns...skills, not speed/strength/endurance.  Any recommendations?

Hi,

Are there books listing rides in Hudson Valley, north east or even the whole of the U.S. people would recommend?

Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a book or application for training with a power meter?  Coaches are very expensive.

More Protection on the Pelham Bay Bridge?

Submitted by stephaniezhang422 on Wed, 08/05/2020 - 10:14pm

I hope this message finds everyone well. Has anyone had any negative experiences with the bike lane on the Pelham Bay Bridge? I believe that this should be a protected bike lane.

Trees down on the South County Trailway

Multiple trees down on the South County Trailway.

I counted 5 in the immediate area.

Pictures were taken just north of Alan B. Shepard Jr. Pl. (Yonkers) on the trail.

Trees down in Englewood, NJ

Submitted by LWintner on Wed, 08/05/2020 - 11:12am

My doorman lives in Englewood and told me this morning that trees and wires are down all over the town.  Be careful if you ride around there.

641 Main St 845-236-6247  Operated by Rafi, a long time Piermont resident who has many years of barrista experience, it opens daily at 6 AM, has a bathroom and features a mouth watering array of bake goods delivered daily from a Manhattan bakery. Included is a full line of hot and cold beverages such as cold Sanpelligrino sodas, sandwiches, wraps, fresh fruit and yogurt. The gleaming and modern premises includes a bike rack with TV security monitor.  Sighted this past (opening)weekend at one of  the outdoor tables was Thom Kleiner, former Orangetown Supervisor enjoying a leisurely breakfast.
