New bicycle shop in Rockland
Drove the bike up to ride in Harriman Park yesterday, and on the return drive noticed this new shop on Willow Grove Rd. Years ago it was a deli, but it had been vacant for years. Seemed kind of out of the way for most riders.

Experience with Adventure Cycling?
I'm thinking of going on one of Adventure Cycling's shorter trips this time next year. I've been a member for years, but never gone on one of their tours. Have you toured with them? The one I'm looking at is 10 days, self-contained inn-to-inn (no camping).

No Fall Foliage in 2020
Fellow Members,
After discussion, we decided that NYCC should not hold an official Fall Foliage series in 2020 for the following reasons:
"The World's Fastest Man" The Extraordinary Life of Cyclist MAJOR TAYLOR America's First Black Sports Hero by Michael Kranish
He died in 1932 at age 53 and was buried in a pauper's cemetery. I recommend the book.
Snake Hill In Cold Spring Harbor Is Inaccessible
Shore Rd leading north from Main Street is torn up got repaving.
Recommendation for Smart Trainer
I'm thinking about getting a smart training stand..I've never had any kind of bike trainer since
I used the health club bike – no longer an option. Any suggestions or advice would be
appreciated. Also, ease of installing and un-installing.
Thank you.

Roof rack theft in NYC?
Has anyone experienced theft of their roof rack in NYC? Not theft of a bike from a roof rack, but the roof rack itself. Mostly asking about Manhattan, but any experience from the five boroughs would be interesting.
I live on the Upper East (Yorkville) and had Thule Aerobars and pair of Rocky Mounts bike trays for three years before they were stolen in 2019. The racks had lock cores, but the racks are mounted on clamps that are easy to hammer or pry off even when locked.
