Meet Cycling Legend Erik Zabel
Spend an evening with German cycling legend Erik Zabel.
Mr. Zabel, born in East Berlin in 1970, last raced with Milram and has over 200 professional wins. He is considered by many as one of the greatest German cyclists and top sprinters in history. He has not only taken a record 6 consecutive (1996-2001) Maillot Vert, or"Green" Points Jerseys, during his many Tours de France, he also won Milan-San Remo four times - an incredible feat indeed.
Smart Cycles/Ciocc frames
Does anybody have any experoence with Smart Cycles in Norwalk Ct?
I have been perusing their website and while some of the content seems dated I am sorely tempted by the lugged steel Ciocc frames. They really look beautiful.

Share your love of bicycling with brand new riders!
Nobody forgets the first time they ever rode a two-wheeled bike. The feeling of wind in their hair, freedom at their fingertips, and total complete independence is theirs!
You can help give this experience to other folks who haven't gotten the chance yet! Thousands of New Yorkers never learned how to ride a bike and Bike New York offers free classes, teaching adults and kids all over the five boroughs how to ride. Join up with the Bike Ed program by volunteering to help out at these classes.
Chances are you know the Stephen Crane quote, "Everything is bicycle." Here is its wonderful source...
Yes, that Stephen Crane. As in "Red Badge of Courage." Dead at the age of 28. In 1900. So you know anything he has to say about the wonder of bicycles is dated because it, uh, ahem, precedes automobiles. Nevertheless, isn't this terrific? From 1896.
