Thoughts on Chain Reaction Cycles
Hi.
I ordered two new Shimano cranksets from Chain Reaction Cycles, before I realized they are in Northern Ireland. They had pricing that allow me to save 42%.
I'm concerned that the cranksets are going to be gray market, or worse, since I need to deal with Chain Reaction for warrenty issues and not go to Shimano directly.
What is people's experience with Chain Reaction, especially when there is a defect in the hardware?
Should I trust that what I'm getting is the real thing?
Should I just sell the cranksets on eBay to recoup what I spent and then buy new cranksets on this side of the Atlantic?
Thanks

Join us at Tuesday's NYCC meeting - Challenges and Joys of Owning a Bike shop in 2018
Dear Members,
Rode about 180 days in 2017 (6,000 miles) and almost 200,000 miles lifetime (38 years of cycling)
Rode in all 50 states and all of the states/provinces of Australia & Canada plus 60 other foreign countries
More than half of the miles were with groups such NYCC and almost 100 group bike tours (mostly overseas)
The next time I am able to ride outside I am going to count how many pedal strokes I do in a mile and mutliply it by 200,000 to determine how hard these knees have worked
No, River Road is not open.

2018 Version of Pankin Mileage Log?
Does anybody know if the 2018 version of the Mark Pankin mileage spreadsheet is available?
How to get it?
Thanks!
New route on Ride Library: north on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail from High Bridge Park in Manhattan
Not a bad route to try this time of year when the weather moderates a bit.
Let us know if modifications are in order when ridden.
