Anyone know of a LBS with a Saddle Loan/Tryout Program?
The title says it all. I'm looking to get a new saddle. I would like to try it out before I buy. Anyone know of a LBS that has a program?
Thanks

Garmin Emergency Alert really works
My partner Lisa is currently riding on MTB bike trails in NJ. She left her bike leaned on shrub and it fell over causing the Garmin to detect an impact that activates an automatic emergency response. I received it in real time as a text with a map link to her exact location. Thankfully it was nothing but a bike falling over, but had it been a real emergency I could have pinpointed her and called emergency services immediately. I'm very impressed with the emergency function and highly recommend it especially for the off-roaders.

Dear NYCC members and all members of the cycling community,
Contemplating posting a B17 Staten Island ride on Friday
My office, while technically open, is going to be really quiet on Friday; I'm planning on taking the day off. Forecast calls for a high temp of 47 on the day, overcast, no rain; pretty temperate for December.
Basic idea is to ride out to Tottenville at the extreme southern tip of the island (also the southernmost point in NY state). Route would be something like this: https://www.strava.com/routes/6841230 . Actually, I may tweak that to come back on the northwest side of the island; there are a couple of German-style beer halls there I've been wanting to check out.
If I posted this as a B17 ride, would you sign up? Reply here on the MB or directly to me.
Cycling Cross Country for Affordable Housing
Hi Everyone!
My name is Brit and I'm a 24 year old cyclist, living in Harlem. I've enjoyed a few group rides with NYCC and really love the info that this community has provided me, on cycling in NYC.
This summer I will be biking from New Hampshire to Washington State with an organization called Bike & Build. This is a ride to benefit affordable housing and along the route, my team and I will be building homes with different organizations like Habitat for Humanity.
Champion Systems, which makes NYCC's apparel (in China), just announced it's moving its HQ from Brooklyn to.....
Lincoln, Nebraska!
No kidding. Moving to the center, the very core of...uh, ummm, what?
