There used to be a link on the nycc site for an accident study - where folks were asked to input info on any bike accident they were in (time, place, various other info), to be used for a safety study .

Is that study still going on / link still up ?

A friend of mine is compiling a "post accident" to do list, I would like to include this link if it is still applicable.

I am currently riding on Micheline Pro Race 3 tires and was thinking of getting a set of Specialized Armadillo tires to avoid getting as many flats. Has anyone had experience with the Armadillo tires? I have heard they tend to be very hard and can be uncomfortable to ride on. Is there a very noticeable difference as far as comfort? Are they really what they claim to be as far as flat protection? Thanks!

How do I put that little email envelope on the left side of the message board where I am identified as the poster so that people can contact me through the board?

In the last month or two there was an interesting post about a study concerning interaction among pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles. I think it may have come from a blog, and I believe it was posted just before the new message board format appeared because I have tried to search the board and cannot find it. It was about how pedestrians and vehicles view each other and how this differs from how they perceive cyclists. Does anyone remember making the post. Thanks for any help. Michael Gewirtz

Here out of town and my shoes just pulled from the cleats (still attached to pedal). luckily the only thing that busted was the plastic adapter (not the shoe or the cleat). it's used for three-hole shoes. wondered if anyone had one spare I could buy (perhaps you were smart enough to buy four-hole shoes).

they look like the pix below in the CL ad I just put up. It has three big holes that go right through and four small holes with nuts embedded. i only need one but will buy whatever both if you want to get rid of them. i don't need the hardware or shims or cleats etc (but again, if you wanna sell them, I'll take them).
