Check out our team blog for another angle on cycling performance and efficiency . The article includes a special offer from our team sponsor, Discover Chiropractic.

Thanks for sharing

Not sure about the chiropractic part, but I certainly enjoyed reading about the team and their success (several of whom are/were NYCC members)!

Advertisement? But look at tit this way

Advertisement? But look at tit this way.
Let's just say this iS an advertisement for the sponsor who is a Chiropractor?

Perhaps you could benefit from someone who has a good understanding of cyclist issues and
thus speed your recovery?

Yes, I know we have rules against Advertising, but lets look at 2 things.

A) Someone could have posted a thread such as " Anybody know a good Chiropractor who specializes in cycling injuries? "
Of course the response would be "Yes, I know Dr. Bombay at ......" . Just a thought
B) The current board is so hard to read and use that I believe that many current members have stopped using and reading it.

Which reminds me, Sorry for any typos as I AM GOING BLIND with EYE pain just typing this.

Some cyclists might actually

Some cyclists might actually be interested in reading about body and bike symmetry. And many people on this board ask for recommendations for various problems with bike fit, etc. This is just more information to think about, and yes, an offer for the month of December from our team sponsor. It's not clear to me what is inappropriate about it, but you are very free to ignore it.

Advertising

I previously posted about the inappropriateness of a member who was promoting his son's law practice. That post was removed and the poster complained of a double standard. That this post remains is indeed corroboration of his charge. Had his son's law form sponsored a cycling team I guess his post would have been allowed. By the current standard i guess Radio Shack should be given carte blanche to promote there products and services on the message board.

Understood, Double standard? Nope just inconsistent.

I'm not stating that any of this is fair, it just doesn't bother me that the post was put up by a team
that wishes to also note a sponsor which may help some of us.

Regarding the example you brought up simply shows there is a
lack of consistency in moderating this forum and sticking to it's "standards'.

I know there was a location in old board that stated posting do's and don'ts.

Perhaps in the future a note to the ADMIN or Webmaster may have the result you were seeking.
The problem of course is that once a thread or it's part is pulled the reason is never given and that is what makes
the poster pissed off (myself included)

newish place to eat in Nyack - not an advertisement

A few weeks ago, a few of us ate at a place called True Food at 166 Main St, Nyack, 845-480-5710. It's a cozy place across the street from the bakery about midway down the hill. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the coffee is good, there's a clean bathroom, and a bike rack in front. It seats about 15-20 people and the owner is very friendly. The food is organic and healthy. There are hot plates, sandwiches, wraps etc.

I have no connection to this place - just enjoyed the food and thought others might want to know about it in case the Spoon gets too crowded.
