At the risk of offending anyone, and possibly everyone, I have a problem with voting for the new club jersey. I am not sure about the process or whether I voted at all, but I did try to vote. All the jerseys were nice, but I had a clear favorite (which I probably should not disclose in the interests of harmony). At any rate, I clicked on several to look at them, and next I know I am on the page telling me the totals so far. It did not confirm how I voted, or whether I voted at all, but I saw no clear indication of how to cast my vote, and the website seems to indicate that you get to the totals after you vote. Since choice number 1 appears to be the leader, I question whether number 1 is receiving votes intended for other entries.

Really need all your corporate/business/attorney advice I can get here. The situation is this. Selling used bicycles now at a retail store and some of the bikes I get are of no resale value, e.g. a scratched-up Mongoose won't even go for $50 if you can get a new one at K-Mart for the same price. A few dozens of these are hanging out in my basement now, all tuned up and rideable, and more are coming...

I got a ticket tonight - and attitude! - for not riding in the bike lane on 5th Avenue. The officer told me, "The mayor gave you bike lanes, and now you gotta behave." It's a court appearance, and I don't have the stomach yet to find out how much this will cost me. I didn't have a clue that not riding in a bike lane would land me a summons, The People of the State of New York vs. me. But there I was pulled over, along with a delivery guy and a mom riding to pick up her daughter. I'd be curious to hear if any other NYCC members are getting tickets outside of CP.

I just noticed that the announcement of tomorrow night's meeting (linked from the home page) says the time of the meeting is 11:00 p.m. Anyone who's already a member got the eweekly with the correct times, but it's possible some non-members might want to show up and find out what we're about. The correct times are: 6:45 dinner; 7:30 program. (I assume the social hour starts at 6:00.)

hi all - does anyone have a link they'd like to share to a 2011 cycling log they've found? I am looking for something paper-based (ie., NOT electronic), that has blanks for very rudimentary info (really just mileage). Last year on this website there was a link to a one page pdf 2010 calendar/log that was perfect and I used it all year. This year I haven't found a new one (and I emailed the webmaster to see if there was going to be a new one but didn't get a response). Any info would be helpful. Many thanks in advance!

so far, it looks like the game is off due to rain/snow. i'll hold out and make the call tuesday morning by 6am, though. i'm dying to ride. i'm tired of this wet winter, already. if tuesday's game is off, thursday's workout will be hill repeats.
