When I used to live in Manhattan, I simply took the subway to that popular spot for start of many rides to Long Island.

But now I no longer live in Manhattan, it's more convenient to drive to the start. I figure there may be others who had done it often and could offer suggestions as to where I should go looking for parking nearby? That would save me going around in circles endlessly looking for parking in the morning.

Thanks

I thought I once saw a route from NYC to Atlantic Highlands in the library but I can't find it. Anyone know?  Thanks

Any 17/18 riders interested in a self-guided trip in the Puglia region of Italy for about a week at the end of September? We’ll be using a company called PugliaCycleTours. They provide hotels, routes, 24/7 road assistance, local recommendations, and they move your luggage from hotel to hotel. The bike and meals are extra (except breakfasts). Check out their website for all the info: https://www.pugliacycletours.com including prices.

We have recently confirmed that Senator Liz Krueger from Manhattan's East Side is opposing S2643 Stop as Yield—and has strong influence on what bills come to the floor. Please contact Senator Krueger’s office:

by phone at (212) 490-9535 and say: “I’m calling to urge the Senator to support releasing S2643 “Stop as Yield” to the Senate floor during the current session.”

City Island

I'm having trouble navigating the library.  Does anyone have a cue and/or RWGPS link for Johnny's Reef Restaurant in City Island? TIA.

A friend of mine and I want to spend 2-3 days riding in Maine. Neither of us has been up there. Any suggestions on a nice place to stay for a few nights and do 50-60 mile loops (routes?) during the day? (Someplace that's near a good lobster restaurant!)

Thanks.

Saturday's stage of the Giro (twice) climbed Monte Grappa (55 miles NW of Venice.) At the top of it is an ossuary containing the remains of 22,950 soldiers (fewer than 3000 identified) in three battles there between the armies of Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire in World War I.
