Easter weekend B-sig ride

Submitted by LCohen on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 9:47am

The weather forecast is looking a bit bleak for Saturday. Does anyone know if we'd ride on Easter Sunday in the event of a Saturday rain cancellation?

Just trying to plan...

PS - I am asking for knowledge, rather than opinions.

Thanks.

Submitted by Dwight Schrute on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 6:15pm

I was finishing up a ride in the park today and was doing a slow cool down lap.  At around 3:50, I came upon several police vehicles around west 85th.  It looked like too many vehicles for a ticket and more like what you see when coming upon an accident in the park, but there were no ambulances.  I slowed and saw a cyclist in the back seat of a police car (had a helmet still on).  On the left side in the rec lanes, three young men were in handcuffs.  Okay, this is strange and I continue on.   About a half mile later, there are two police scooters in the road and two officers are talking to three more young men.  Hmm, I continue on and just before exiting the park at 110th street, there are several police vehicles and three more young men in h

The 59th St Bridge has to be the best bridge crossing and they just made the Queens side much better.
