C-SIG Postponed today

Submitted by JReaven on Sat, 04/23/2011 - 7:00am

The C SIG ride scheduled for today is postponed.  Every forecast says 100% chance of rain all morning into the early afternoon.  We WILL try to ride on Sunday, despite the fact that it is Easter Sunday.  Same start time and location.

As Wayne said for the B SIG: I know that riding on Easter Sunday does present a conflict for a lot of people, but I hope you can find a way to make the ride.  Only you can decide what works best for you of course, but I hope you can join us.

Please pay close attention to the message board tomorrow, for any changes to our current plan.

Submitted by VBaruh on Fri, 04/22/2011 - 6:20pm

BSTS Ride # 7 is postponed to Sunday April 24th. We will meet same time and same place as originally planned for the Saturday ride. All participants should have already received an email about the postponed ride. Weather for Sunday is still questionable, so please watch your email and this message board for updates about the Sunday ride.

Stay dry on Saturday.

B SIG Armonk Ride, Saturday April 23rd POSTPONED

Submitted by WWright on Fri, 04/22/2011 - 5:55pm

The B SIG ride to Armonk scheduled for tomorrow is postponed.  Every forecast I checked says 100% chance of rain all morning into the early afternoon.  We WILL try to ride on Sunday, despite the fact that it is Easter Sunday.  Same start time and location:  8:30 at the Ramble Shed in Central Park.

I know that riding on Easter Sunday does present a conflict for a lot of people, but I hope you can find a way to make the ride.  Only you can decide what works best for you of course, but I hope you can join us.

Same time and place: 9:30AM, Boathouse.

It looks like rain and wind for tomorrow morning.  Sunday looks fine right now: very little wind and temps getting up to 70 degrees.

Very nice video, had to pass it along. Never seen or heard of the cycling team though.

Sat. ClimBathon: Substitute Leader.

Bob Schmon ([email protected]) will lead Saturday's ride. Same route. But check tonight or  tomorrow morning to see that it hasn't been called off due to rain. If the ride is called off for Sat., he may—may—reschedule it for Sunday. How will you recognize Bob? He's the tallest man you'll ever ride with. Not good enough? OK, he has a mustache.

bike policy

Submitted by DHudes on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 10:26pm

In the past there has been some concern/discussion over whether to allow various atypical bikes (folding bikes, recumbent bikes) on various rides. While I hold with the club policy of not allowing aero bars which do not have *brake levers* on them, there is no club policy about forbidding any type of bike. On any ride I lead of any level A/B/C, I welcome any style of bicycle in working order. I don't even mind road trikes.  Anything which doesn't paceline is riding off the back on high end B rides and such few A rides as I lead.
