Bronx River Path(way)

Submitted by AnalogStupidity2 on Tue, 06/21/2011 - 1:52pm

Anyone have experience on the Bronx River Pathway?

I'm planning on starting to commute once or twice a week from northern Westchester to Wall Street.  I'll be coming down 22 to Kensico Dam plaza, and then getting on the Bronx River Pathway.  Having not ridden the pathway in at least 5 years, and generally avoiding multi-use paths, I'm unfamiliar with it.  So I have a few questions:

1.  Once I get to White Plains I think I'll have three options:

(a) Exit pathway at Fisher Lane, ride 0.7 miles on the Parkway, exit at County plaza, take 119 down to Main, then Bank St - Fisher - Walworth - Fox Meadow

zoot ultra bike shorts for sale (womens small)

Submitted by talibaba on Tue, 06/21/2011 - 1:51pm

Hi,

I ordered online the zoot ultra bike short in a small, and they were too big ):

The cham sticks out past my booty, so I'll never use them.  They still have tags on and everything.  If you're interested, name your price!

(for reference: I'm 4'11'' and about 105lbs)

Submitted by KEdwards on Tue, 06/21/2011 - 12:43pm

I have a female medium but it's too big, should have gotten a small.  If you have a female small but want a medium, let me know and we can swap.  Thanks.

July 4 Weekend in Downeast Maine

Submitted by FHarris on Tue, 06/21/2011 - 10:05am

Any members heading to the Maine coast between Belfast and Bar Harbor over the July 4 holiday rather than West Point?

If so, and you would like to do some riding on the beautiful Blue Hill peninsula or explore  Mt. Desert Island, let me know.

Advice please, planning a trip to the North Fork

Submitted by Sir Roger on Mon, 06/20/2011 - 9:29pm

Some time in the next couple of weeks I plan to ride the North Fork from Riverhead or Mattituck to Orient Point and back. A Friday or Saturday which day would be best ?

I am really finding the LIRR site almost impossible to use for planning a train trip so it looks like I will put Harry in the back of the car and drive to Riverhead (Takes about 1.5 hours in the early early from my home).

Questions.. where is the best spot to start the ride. Does anyone have any cool mapmyrides or google map and cue sheets. (I could not find anything in the library). I did find some interesting looking routes on the Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association page. Some cool round trips that take in the Hamptons and a ferry across to Shelter Island and back via the N. Fork.
