Problem with recurring rides submission system
To all ride leaders who have been diligently and patiently trying to submit recurring rides:
The system is NOT functioning. We understand that 1) the multiple rides do not get submitted to the Ride Coordinators, 2) when changes are made, they all might disappear, and 3) sometimes none of the rides appear as submitted.
Until the problem is identified and we have the resources to get it fixed, you will need to submit each ride separately. It has the webmaster's attention, as do many other important "fixes". Please do not attempt to use the recurring ride submission system until we notify you on the MB that the problem has been solved.
And thank you for continuing to submit rides- your fellow club members are very grateful!
Nightmare on Elm St - Sunday 7/31
Lesse and I are really excited to be leading this ride on Sunday. This is the third year we've done it, and it's always been a hoot.
A few people have emailed me about the climbs... how hard are they, really? Some of them are pretty tough - but short. Think Ash - but with a real hard kick... or maybe two. We will approach these with a spirit of camaraderie - urging each other to the top. Other climbs are a little longer but more moderate. Many are full of character; some feature fantastic views. Either way, you'll be going slow enough to take it all in.
The URL in the ClimBathon ride description isn't defective; the person who wrote it is.
It should be: http://newyorkbike.com/Richards_route.html

Excellent group riding skills desired. We will ride together on flats and regroup at the top of hills. Lunch in Nyack. Please make sure your bike is in good riding condition and tires properly inflated. Bring water and pocket food.
Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in so we can leave promptly at 8:30.
E-mail me for confirmation at [email protected]. Ride limited to 10 plus ride leaders.
Looking for Group Rides in Denver Area Next Week. Suggestions?
I will be in Lakeville, CO (the Denver burbs) from Sunday 8.1 through Friday 8.5 then off to Grand Junction. Anyone know of any good A level group rides in the Denver area? I did a web search, but only found a few easy 20 mile rides!
SEE, Poll says New York Voters like Bike Lanes
See? The police really are your (sometime) friend.
(And, no, I am not a friend of entrapment.)

Where is the membership directory on the website?
I can't seem to find the membership directory on the web site. Could someone tell me where it is? Thank you.
'Big hills, fast descents and local wine make Ithaca, NY a cycling nirvana '
From Bicycling magazine, July 2011:
Ithaca, New York: Big hills, fast descents and local wine make central New York a cycling nirvana.
Ups And Downs: The Two Gorges Ride, a Finger Lakes Cycling Club Sunday outing, connects several glacier-carved waterfalls to create a 28-mile route through rolling countryside. The route climbs wooded backroads, visiting Treman State Park's 12 cascades, including its 115-foot-high centerpiece, Lucifer Falls.
