Any rides on Monday (Labor Day?)

Submitted by emilyjt on Fri, 09/02/2011 - 10:19pm

I just completed my first IM and would love to get out and make sure my bike legs still work.  I'm back in the city sunday night so would love a ride on Monday (didn't see any posted).

Anyone up for a 35-70 mile ride? (easy pace 15-17mph)

Meet at 9AM at GW Bridge?

Just got back from two weeks in the Pyrenees!

It was awesome.  We stayed just outside of Argeles Gazost in the Hautes Pyrenees, which is easily accessible from the airport in Pau (via CDG).  The weather was fantastic and accommodations could not have worked out better.  We stay in a newly renovated gite I found on line.  Here is the link...check it out www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/argeles-gazost/126161.  The place is at the base of Hautacam.  It is owned by a lovely English couple who live in a separate house on the property, which proved to be an advantage because my French is, well, bad.  Everyday we set out in on a new adventure; Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden; Aubisque, Soulor, etc.

Bike insurance

Submitted by EGlicklich on Fri, 09/02/2011 - 11:15am

I'm shopping around for bike insurance - full coverage needed for my ride - "just in case."

Can anyone suggest a plan / provider?

Thanks!
