Invest in the Future of Cycling in NYC!
Bike New York, a non-profit bicycling organization, is looking for volunteers to teach our bike education classes.
Bike New York volunteers give New Yorkers the life-changing skill of riding a bicycle through teaching bike education classes. Our classes are free to the public, and held in all five boroughs, from the spring to the fall. Once volunteers go through a brief (and free) training session, they are qualified to teach students of all ages how to ride bicycles, and how to handle their bicycles responsibly and safely. Volunteers are compensated with sweet prizes, many fun social events, and based on amount of time volunteering, free entry to Bike New York rides, including the 5 Boro Tour.

Ride from Philly to NY
Hi folks,
If anyone wishes to join the Peter Odell ride from Philadelphia to NY just meet us at the Philadelphia Art Museum at 5:45am on September 4.
You are free to tag along. If you don't pay the registration fee you won't be entitled to any SAG support or post-ride showers. But there's no reason you can't ride the route with us. We can be our own support group watching out for one another.
Just in case anyone is interested....
J
Ps. If you have any questions regarding the vicissitudes of the journey, you are welcome to email me as well.

Pleasantville to Cold Spring - CANCELLED
With Sunday riding out, join me on our 60 mile, A-21 ride to Cold Spring and beat the rain before it hits in the afternoon.
We plan to leave GC Station on the 7:48 am train, arrive in Cold Spring and take the 2:05 train back to the City. Tomorrow will make the go/no go call but also may chose the option to take the 6:48 am train to get the ride done an hour earlier.
Description below:
Free Seat Wedges
Cleaning out my closet. I have three seat wedges to give away. One is a small wedge by Topeak, only used a few times (I don't know how anyone fits gear in there - I ended up buying the big wedge). Shoot me an email and you can pick it up on the Upper West Side.
Riding in CP tonight (8/25)
Has anyone ridden in CP this afternoon / evening? How are the roads, still wet or drying out?
Thanks for any feedback.
