Zippers!
There are so many good jerseys that would be fine if only they were full-zip. Too many zip only part way down, and if you prefer more, you're just stuck with what's offered.
However, with a good tailor, that can be fixed; that is, if you can get the right zipper.
Problem solved:

BTW, the right type would probably be a #3 coil zipper in the color of your choice, or if you want it heavier duty, #4, 4.5, or 5.

FS: Brand new Continental Grand Prix tires
Hello. I have two new Continental Grand Prix Supersonic tires for sale (black, 700x23), still in their packages. These are some of the most lightweight clinchers out there--lighter than the usual Conti GPs. If you like reading catalog copy, here is some. $80 for the pair. Gimme a shout if you need new tires. Thanks.
Knee Doctor recommendation needed
Can anyone recommend a good orthopedist or sports doctor in NYC who specializes in knees? Thanks in advance.

PSA: Stop salmoning, else prepare to be ticketed
As I dodged smelly #OccupyWallStreet protesters on the walk from the subway today (left the bike at home), an idiot cycling the wrong way on Broadway barreled into me while I crossed the street.
Fortunately I escaped with a minor scratch on my hand, and I'm wearing dark jeans so the tire marks don't show. All the same, it was a reminder that, yes indeed, we do share the roads with pedestrians and should always follow the direction of traffic. Else walk bikes on the sidewalk.
Anyway, I applaud the NYPD's recent efforts to cut down on salmoning on what's actually a not-so-great intersection leading into the bike path of the Williamsburg bridge:
