Long time NYCC member & ride leader Mindy Kaufman has released a CD last month
"French Flute Music" pieces by Debussy, Ibert, Cras and Jolivet. It blends its roots in French Africa and Greek mythology into its present genre with chamber music(accompanied by stringed instruments). Mindy has been a prominent flute and piccolo soloist with the NY Philharmonic since 1979. The CD is available on Amazon.com

Bike Deaths: US vs Europe
A dismaying, if unsurprising, report from The Economist: http://www.economist.com/node/21528302
Can someone lend me a bike travel case this weekend (Oct 1) ?
I would be very greateful to any person who might lend me a bike case for a flight this weekend. I'm travelling to Picton, Ontario to do a fall colours ride for the local Kiwanis club. I'd need to pick up before Friday this week and I can get it back by Tuesday next week.
If anyone can help pls email me at [email protected].
Many thanks.

When Bikes And Cars Collide, Who's More Likely To Be At Fault?
Does NYCC rent bike cases ?
I saw a message a from 3 years back saying they did, but not sure if it's still accurate. I don't see anything on the site otherwise.
Anybody know if it's still offerred and how to do it ?
Day after ENY Ride
Ride is on, but I may shorten destination to Tenafly Train Station in order to avoid rain. See you at 9:30.
Tomorrow's (Sunday's) ClimBathon
As should be well known, I'm a weather wussy. Rain likely early? Climb back into bed. If not likely until, say, noon, we'll ride River Rd., Eisenhower, and Speer. If not likely at all, the full monty. But do check here. Note ride starts at 9:30
