Late ride listing.  The route won't be final until we see the condition of River Road later in the week.  We'll ride four of the following six climbs:  River Road, Churchill, Speer, Walnut, Mountain Road, and The Presidents.  The "B15" means that this ride is casual speed-wise.

Helmet and shoes for sale

Submitted by ICho on Tue, 09/13/2011 - 11:50am

Hi,

I am selling a lightly used Specialized Prevail helmet (size L) and Giro Prolight SLX shoes (size 42).

The S-Works Prevail helmet (retail $230, selling for $120) is Specialized highest-end helmet. I have for a comparo review I was doing between this and the Giro Aeon. Reviews on the web are very positive and I liked it as well. Was used for about 100 miles.

The Prolight SLX shoes are lightweight race shoes (retail $350, selling for $200 obo). Used for about 150 miles. Slight scuff under the left toe but otherwise looks new.

Photos of both can be found here:

Escape Party Timing

Submitted by Sir Roger on Mon, 09/12/2011 - 7:23pm

I emailed the good Wheelpeople at ENY to ask about the party timing, as my group is deciding between 65 and 100 for that day and we want to sort out a reasonable average with stops and not be too late to piggyfy later..

here is the reply hope it helps other indulgers..

The festival runs from 12:30-5:30 and is definitely worth saving time for !"

Thursday morning river road ride still on - I just forgot to repost it

Submitted by DStrub on Mon, 09/12/2011 - 6:47pm

Hey our weekly Thursday morning river road ride is still on this Thursday.  I spaced and forgot to repost in time for this week's newsletter.

Given the reports about conditions on RR, we will probably detour to 9W or some other adventure this week.
