To the female rider that stopped to check in after we crashed on descent prior to Harlem Hill this morning - thanks.  Don't know if you are an NYCC member but if so I appreciated you taking responsibility and being so decent and offering to pay for ripped up bib. - Tom

Evening laps in CP

Anyone interested in doing laps wed evening, say meet at boathouse at 7pm? I plan to do 4 laps, 15/16 pace. I do this at least once a week, would love to find so ride buddies. email me if you are interested this week or in the future

Needing advice on a seat for a Men's bike

Hey everyone, I am looking to upgrade the seat on my bike. For the last couple years I have been using the stock bike seat that came on my Cannondale Caad 9. Does anyone have advice/ reccomendations on which seat I should look into purchasing. Yes Im a dude, so take that into consideration. Thanks! David K.

Brooklyn Bridge advisory Oct 1st

United Way is having their "Bridge Walk" event Sat. Oct. 1st

opening Ceremony: 10:00 a.m.
Walk: 10:15 a.m.
Festival: 11 a.m. — 1 p.m.

 

I recommend avoiding the City Hall Park and Brooklyn Bridge during this time at least.

Prospect Park morning laps

So I've just joined NYCC with the intent of joining morning lap rides in Central Park. The main goal is to gain some group ride experience as I've always ridden solo and need to break the habit ASAP. I see so many Central Park morning rides that focus on group ride basics, but nothing in Prospect Park. Does anyone know if there are such organized rides in PP with this goal in mind, or am I just looking in the wrong club? Any suggestions? Not sure if it helps, but I geneally average about 20.3mph for an hour solo ride at PP (6 laps). Thanks in advance!
