Not raining.
Forecast is not promising, but let's start and at least get a little riding in.
See you at 8 am
Great Foliage Series - Thanks Wayne
Thanks Wayne for again organizing the Fall Foliage Ride Series --how did you arrange for great weather, beautiful scenery, and hassle free and friendly Metro North trains!
Even Hurricane Sandy knew not to mess with us!

FRANKENSTORM A RIDE RIDE ON
Leaving the Jersey side of the GWB 8:00 am sharp. I'm hopeful we can get in a good 3 hours or so and be back in the city by 11-11:30 without getting wet. I'll try to do a last minute post before leaving my apartment at 7:30 to confirm.
Rain at the start cancels the ride.
B 16 - Ride to the Cheesecake Factory, Sunday Oct 28th - Weather Update
Okay, weather definitely looks iffy.
Tour de Brooklyn Leaving at 8am--Weather Permitting
Given the slightly better forecast for the morning than the afternoon, we'll leave tomorrow at 8 am. If the roads are dry and we have an OK forecast for the morning, we'll head to Brooklyn and do an abreviated ride. Check the message board tomorrow morning(!). I'll post an update by 7 am.
What is your best bike vacation?
I want to schedule another cycling vacation, but need to narrow the options. I'm looking for input as to others' best cycling vacations - where they were, what company it was through, etc. The whole wide world is an option, but I'm limited to a week or so of time. Any advice would be appreciated!
East Coast Greenway to New Haven - POSTPONED TO 11/11
Fellow Cyclists,
Given the weather and the real possibility that there will be Metro North service interruptions effectively stranding us en route, the leaders have elected to cancel the Greenway Ride for this Sunday 10/28 and re-list it for Sunday 11/11.
If you signed up, please re-visit the ride listing and update your availability.
Sorry. Thanks.

October 30 Morning Laps Ride Cancelled
I have to cancel Tuesday's morning's B16 laps in Central Park ride. Either I will be out of town on business or the weather will be too awful to fly or ride a bike.
On the off chance the weather is rideable, Jim Olson may be able to take over and lead the ride. I have put him down as co-leader so he can have access to the sign-up list.
I have also listed the Tues/Thursday times for the month of November, except for Thanksgiving Day.
Jerry Ross
