Chamois Butt'r in Bike Shops

Submitted by johnvic on Sun, 03/03/2013 - 1:07pm

I've walked into a few bike stores in NYC looking for Chamois Butt'r and they did not sell it.

Does anyone know a store in Manhattan or Queens that sells chamois creme? Midtown is preferable but I just want to buy some.

NYCC March 12th meeting's program and sponsor

Submitted by EWeiss on Sun, 03/03/2013 - 9:38am

Calling all SIGGIES/STS/Audax registrants, veteran cyclists and triathletes (that about covers all of you). Mikael Hanson, professional cycling and multi-sport coach, will be this month's featured presenter at our March 12th meeting. He will be making a presentation entitled: "Are you really maximizing your training time on the bike for improved performance? ". Since this is essentially the unofficial beginning of the cycling season, it is the opportune time to take a close look at whether you are training efficiently and productively to improve your performance, or just "ridiing around" (which is fine, if that is all you want out of your cycling).

C SIG Registration

All those who successfully registered for the C SIG should have received instructions for tomorrow's Classification Ride via email.  If you have not seen this email, check your spam.  The weather looks good and the ride is on! See you at 9:30 tomorrow.

Bike fitting

Submitted by steadyeddie on Fri, 03/01/2013 - 4:56pm

Hi all,

Been getting some pain in my knees and one foot is going numb after longer rides - so think my setup is clearly off.

Can anyone recommend someone who can do a good fitting? I would rather not have to pay the prices that are in excess of $300. I saw the BG fit from bicycle habitat for $200  (http://bicyclehabitat.com/articles/fit-services-pg603.htm) - has anyone any experience with them?

Cheers.

Important Reminder to All B SIG Registrants

Submitted by FLeffel on Fri, 03/01/2013 - 11:49am

The timed 4 laps is at 9:30 tomorrow morning, as clearly spelled out in the detailed email sent to all registrants.

Unfortunately, the B SIG web page mistakenly shows the time for the first B SIG meeting as noon. Sorry for any confusion.
