It was an incredible feeling seeing so many smiling faces packed into Annie Moores last night. Congratulations to all of you for your excellent hard-earned achievement.

And big thanks to B-SIG Coordinator Fred Leffel, Captains Joe Hunt, Valli Weiss, and Bob "The Tor-Mentor" Mirell, and all the B-SIG leaders for your tireless work and dedication. Really impressive job.

btw, who was the clown in the blue mask?

Boston - New York Charity Bike Ride

Submitted by pcliffie on Wed, 05/15/2013 - 3:04am

I, along with 39 other Standard Chartered colleagues, will take part in a charity fundraising event called “Ride for Sight”, which is a 3 day, 260 mile bike ride from Boston to New York on June 30-July 2. “Ride for Sight” will help raise valuable funds for Seeing is Believing, a charity aimed at arresting blindness in developing countries. The route was planned prior to the terrible tragedy in Boston on April 15 2013.  In hindsight, choosing Boston as starting point was appropriate as it shows our support and respect for a great city and its people.

The link is below and please donate as generously as you can to this great and worthwhile cause:

I apologize if the tone of my earlier post suggested that I feel superior to anyone because I like to push myself to ride hard. If you prefer to ride at 12mph or 18mph or 20mph, good for you. I'm glad you're out riding your bike.
