Has anyone done this. I signed up for the 40 mile ride but it looks like they escort you for the entire ride. It that correct? I would want to go at my own pace.

I Think We Can Have More Rides And Better Ride Options

Submitted by BVan Nieuwenhoven on Fri, 10/24/2014 - 2:23pm

I believe that NYCC should take a more active role in training club members for ride leadership.

The reason to encourage and train more leaders (beyond our established traditions of training riders) is to have a broader selection of rides all of the time, and to have more variety in the rides. And, on average, the rides will be higher-quality in the way they are planned and run, because well-trained leaders have skills to plan and lead rides better than most untrained leaders.

(And it isn't just about teaching skills, but it's also about finding ways to use teamwork to make things possible in cases where solitary efforts are insufficient or difficult. We are a social organization, our values should include using teamwork as much as we can!)

Ifixbyx is now enduranceWERX

As an FYI, you now have to call Ifixbyx for any info or to set up an appointment.  EnduranceWERX has taken over their webpage.  Kind of frustrating.
