Does anyone know a route to ride on Storm King - which Cold Spring was the lunch stop (so about halfway of ride?) I did this ride a few years ago and it was nice/challenging - but of cause can't find cue sheet -

ThanksDo

Here again, the cyclist is said to collide with the car, in this case a speeding police car. It's always this way. It's never that the car (i.e. the driver) collides with the cyclist...even though the police car (i.e. driver) came up from behind the rider.

We got rained out this morning but we'll try again Friday, 9/2, at 7:30am.

Please join us at Le Pain Quotidien next to the Conservatory Water (aka model boat pond) just north of 72d St and just west of Fifth Ave.  You can enter via the path next to the Info Booth on 72d St.

This is an open invitation to anyone who wants to join us - whether you joined one of the morning laps groups (the B16's, B17's, B18's, B19's, or any of the A's) or just thought about it and went back to sleep.

If you're not riding tomorrow, we'd be happy to see you in your "street clothes" on the way to work.

Interesting ride/Metro-North route to New Haven?

Submitted by MHiller on Wed, 08/31/2016 - 6:44pm

Hi hi,

I think I'm gonna be doing a ride in mid-late September that ends up in New Haven. One way to do it would be to go up the coast of Long Island Sound -- which I've done before, actually -- but that route is rather flat, certainly suburban sprawly, and a bit grimy in places. Also 80 miles from, say, Pelham Bay Park. I'd have it in the budget to do 80 miles, but if it takes (say) an extra 10 to get away from the coastline, and an extra 10 to get back, that'll be more than I want to ride that day.

Keep a weather eye this Labor Day weekend

Topical Storm Hermine is expected to roll up the east coast and be in our area on Sunday and Monday. If it tracks inland things will be unsettled and wet.

Right now, 5:40 pm on Wednesday, weatherunderground.com is calling for half an inch of rain on Sunday and some moisture on Monday.

That is all.
