October 20 - 9W Near Boy Scout Camp
To the two cyclists whom stopped to help me and stayed with me until the police arrived, my heartfelt thanks.
A note of support for Sam
Over the few years I’ve known him, Sam has become one of my favorite people. Not just in NYCC, but favorite people ... period.
Hail, hail Usonia!

Great ride, great troupe, great day! Who even knew this place existed? Not me.
Thank you Neile for leading this fabulous excursion -- David for your insightful commentary via cellphone -- and Daniel for IT services and keeping us stragglers encouraged and motivated. Very generous of you all, plus the amiable and cooperative trippers.
And I won't be forgetting that Valhalla Deli hill, ever (Neile you stinker).

Ride to the Marathon Ride
Anyone riding from Union Square to the Marathon Ride start? Know a safe route there?
What's Happened??
Where're all the current MB posts and rides?
Great folliage ride in Rockland
Rode from Bucksberg to Cedar Flats to Gatehill today as part of a larger ride today. The folliage is simply amazing. Highly reccomend this before the leaves completely turn which may be soon. I have photos on my strava ride.

What is ENY about?
I confess I have always have my confusions. It didn't bother me enough to ask the question. And since everyone is so enthusiastic about it and so on, I assume whatever it is, it's something many people want. But what is it about? Now that Richard had put that question out there in the open. Perhaps I'll get my (unasked) question answered?
First, the disclaimer: I became a member of NYCC as a direct result of ENY.
Some long time ago, as a casual cyclist, I thought NYCC was too serious for me. After all, a cycling club? I was just riding around town and occasionally venture out of the city. I really had no business dress up in lycra zipping around at 30mph in a pack! Not me.
