You are probably aware we have a “Volunteer of the Month” that is recognized each and every month.  This member receives a token of our appreciation at the Club meeting and is celebrated on the front page of the Club Website.

We are invited to meet the new Commanding Officer of the Central Park Precinct at the upcoming CP Community Council meeting on Wednesday, Jan 11, 2017, 7PM.

The meeting will be at the CP Precinct HQ (85th Street Transverse, just south of the Jacqueline Onassis Reservoir) 

There will also be a speaker from the CP Medical Unit who will give an update on the CPMU.

Does anyone know what the Central Park Drive is like currently? Ice? Snow? Crazy to even think about it?

Can anyone tell me if it's OK to ride local trails today (Sunday), or are the conditions too damaging to the trails?

I'm looking to find a shipping box/case that requires the least amount if disassembly and is still protective. 

Just in case anyone thought about riding (or walking) across the bridge today, the PANYNJ has closed the south sidewalk.

As of Sunday 10:40 a.m., sidewalk has been reopened.

Saturday update - - too much slip and slide out there to be magically clear by Sunday and safe to ride anywhere in the city.  CANCELLED!

Sighhhhhhhh, ah yes, a reality check from the weather. Looking ahead to Sunday - - here's what make sense at this point

1) We'll only ride if pavement safe . . to be determined by 9AM Sunday morn

2) ride start changed to noon, same place though. Open to all.

In the interest of safety, George's Arctic Roller ride on Saturday, 1/7/17 is cancelled due to snow, extreme temps, and hazardous road conditions.
