Garmin Edge 1000

Submitted by rherschkopf on Sun, 02/04/2018 - 7:50pm

I am trying to download rides and can't even get started because the message to plug in my device persists, even though it is plugged in and I tried several ports.  Yes, I downloaded Garmin Express and yes, the Garmin is on.  And I'm using the proper cable.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Orthopedist

Submitted by RTellerman on Sat, 02/03/2018 - 9:08pm

Can anyone recommend an orthopedist for a knee problem that accepts insurance. Having some pain behind the patella primarily. Presently doing ice, NSAIDs and easy strength building for quads. If that doesn’t work I need a doc.

Thanks.

CANCELLED -- River Road to Market and Back

Submitted by FLeffel on Sat, 02/03/2018 - 7:32am

Reluctantly,  I'm going to have to cancel. With the wind chill, the temps are in the teens, and wind gusts could make it colder than that. Just too damn cold.

Rats!

PSA: River Road conditions for Saturday AM 2/3

Submitted by BSullivan on Fri, 02/02/2018 - 7:41pm

As of late Friday afternoon, River Road is good to ride. About a mile north of the gate at Forbidden Hill, there is a large puddle covering about half the road... use the other half. Otherwise, there are just a few small frozen puddles on the northern section - easily avoidable if you ride with your head up.

So. Country Trail to Bronxville

Submitted by Bob Martinez on Wed, 01/31/2018 - 2:45pm

Hi all,

I'm plotting a bike ride to Bronxville, and I need at some point to get off on Palmer Road. Google Maps says to take the So. County Trail to Mile Square Rd, then make the turn onto Palmer, but I see tht the Trail crosses Palmer. Is there a way to get to Palmer from the SCT, or is it not really connected?

Thanks in advance!
