Every ride seems to have a story. Here is today's....
Readers may recall last week a passenger in a car on the GWB yelled at me, "Nice pink bike!"
So there I am today, motoring down Riverside, around 140th St. and some cretin on the sidewalk, possibly headed back into the woods where he lives, yells out, "Get your pink ass outta here, boy!" His remark defines "gratuitous": obviously, as I rolled by him, I was in the process of getting my white ass outta there. What most upsets me about this is his vote counts as much as mine does. Nah, on second thought, to a certainty, Mr. Gay Basher, although in his mid-30s, likely has yet to cast a vote and likely never will.

A perfect example how idiotic and worthless are customer-online reviews.
I put in a search for Lake CX301 wide cycling shoes. There was just one review on Amazon. Here it is in its totality https://www.amazon.com/Lake-CX301-Cycling-Shoe-Wide/dp/B06XHNM63H#customerReviews
So far, these fit my feet very well. I've struggled to find cycling shoes to fit my wide feet, and these seem to be very comfortable. I've yet to actually take a ride with these, but so far, so good.

Is the gradient listed an average or max? Couldn't find it on line. But if I looked at my Garmin seems to confirm its an average.
