If you have an email thread that goes past 3-4 responses, it's probably worth getting in a room for a conversation because it is more efficient.

I'll change that to, "if a message board forum goes on for more than 3-4 responses, it's probaby worth going on a ride for a conversation and coffee because it is more efficient". There are many threads recently that seem to fit the "can be fixed in a few minute conversation" bill. In case that wasn't direct enough, I'm pleading for less writing and more talking.

Since my original posting was deleted & not restored...

I think, as a starting point, we should maintain the status quo that Gil is running for Content Editor unopposed (we should work to support him to do the best as he can as Content Editor, if he wants to continue to do it as described) and that Neile/Kevin are both running for the PR role as described (and each of us may decide, with the facts and statements available, which one would put the club in the strongest position, and vote accordingly).

Found in evening (8:30pm) near the cut through to the west side.  Clear, non-prescription lenses.  Did not get scratched in hitting the ground.  Let me know if they are yours or someone you know lost a pair so they can be returned.  Previously posted on club facebook page.

Myself, I sensed a degree of trepidation among the brethren regarding today's weather.

One of the more salient remarks in this regard is attributable to Jeff Vogel. He said among the choices and consequenses of a poor forecast: riding and getting wet or staying home and missing a good riding day, the worse outcome is the latter.

A few of us closely followed the forecast and 3 decided to ride. It was great. The weekend was saved.

"Sticky" Threads

It strikes me that from time to time, some 'sticky' types of informational posts, where the club is announcing something, or publishing general information for viewing by the membership, that (assuming the ability exists?) the thread should be locked as soon as the initial post has been made.

If so desired, a member can create their own thread to discuss a sticky's topic or content.  Just my $.02
