Nearly getting strafed in Prospect Park by the fast pacelines .... is not fun (latest this AM, 10/11)
I apologize if this offends anyone, but I'd like to remind leaders of fast, and long, paceline rides to take into account their wide berth.
Important note: I don't know if the specific instances I'm mentioning below are NYCC rides.
Twice in the past week I was nearly strafed by the tail end of a fast group in Prospect Park. The second time was this morning, Thursday 10/11 at around 6:20AM, near the water fountain on the southeast side of the Park. I was in the slow lane, about as close as you can get to the median line separating the runners.
It's not hard to imagine why. Most peoples' focus are on the wheel in front of them. The sun hasn't fully risen. The paceline is about 20 riders long.

Talent Bikes on 139th
Had a great experience at Talent Bikes on 139th off Broadway after a tear in my tire on riverside.
The owner, Edwin, knows his stuff and charged me very little for the work he did including adjusting my brakes without charging me.
I highly recommend him if you're in a pinch(no pun intended) or need servicing.

Does anyone have recent information on the plans to pave the mud trail onto the South Country Trailway? It's been a long time since I've seen anything about the discussions around the type of surface on that section.
Road Closure
I passed a sign on Hudson Terrace today (10/4) that said: "River Rd. will be closed next week." However, I assume that refers NOT to Henry Hudson Dr, which we call River Rd., but to the continuation of Hudson Terrace/Main St. south of the GW Bridge, which New Jersey calls River Rd.
