Late listing for a Monday Ride

Submitted by CWaaser on Sat, 11/10/2018 - 2:31pm

I've listed a C-13 ride to Westwood on Monday, Veterans' Day. The ride probably won't appear in the listings until tonight. Just wanted to draw attention to it in case you're off on Monday and want to do an easy ride. Looks like the weather will be pleasant.

Per NYC DOT Facebook page (scroll down to "Posts") the bridge reopened today, Thursday 11/8.

Does it make sense to sell my old used helmets?

Submitted by mhsimkin on Thu, 11/08/2018 - 11:18am

I have one or two helmets I'm considering selling.

One I only wore during 2017 1/2 the time, it was purchased in early 2017.  The other I wore this year, again around 1/2 the time. It was purchased in early 2018.

I have never crashed or hit my head while wearing either helmets.

Is it ok to sell them or should I just consider it a sunk cost and find some place to donate them.

Thanks

Is This Even Possible ? (Nutrition Questions)

One slice of delicious Lloyd's Carrot cake has only 140 calories ?!? That's like one bite of an all-natural ProBar. The average carrot cake is normally 500-800 calories per slice depending on the icing/butter/sugar... Reyna where are you?

I can see a military care package shipped to the soldiers in the Middle East, but how do you ship a cake to Africa, or China? Not in a bike box, I hope.

Recommendation for bike fit

Submitted by DAumand on Tue, 11/06/2018 - 1:59pm
Was looking for your great advice. Have been saving my money to buy the cervelo R3. Seems like that might be a good bike for me. I also need a good bike fit recommendation. Can anyone recommend a local (NYC) shop (don't have a car) that i can buy my favorite bike and get a good bike fit. Thx in advance!

Is this fair? If you don't think it is, how would you deal with this situation?

This is unchanged even though the sticky was removed.

No NYCC reservations on the entire Harlem Line and the Hudson Line beyond Croton Harmon till further notice.
