Anyone interested in going to Bear Mtn this Saturday?
I'm driving up to Bear Mountain this Saturday, so I can practice riding up and riding down. I'm planning on leaving my place in the NW Bronx (Riverdale) no later than 7am.
I plan on leaving Bear around 11am and driving to the 9W Market to help with the clean up.
I have room to take one person with me. You would just need to get up to the Riverdale section of the Bronx for 7am. You can ride your own game once we get to the mountain, you will just need to meet me for the drive back to the city.
I'm hoping to get one or two climbs in during the 3 hours I've alloted. I'm a slow climber.
If your interested please send me an email.
This offer is good until 9pm on Friday, June 14th.

Big Kudos for NYPD 20th precinct using data driven enforcement and answering bike haters at the CB meeting. It's still sad that hard won infrastructure upgrades are often gained by trading "young" lives for free parking.
>>>On the opposite side, a number of people who identified themselves as residents rose to condemn the proposal and demand more police enforcement against cyclists, who they said ride the wrong way in lanes, do not obey traffic lights, and commit other infractions.
New Kit
the new kit is nice but are there sample sizes to try on? Perhaps we have some at a meeting.
Is the multiuser path on the Henry Hudson Bridge open?
Driving over the bridge last week, it appeared to be closed.
Does anyone have the current status?

What ? ticketing cyclists isnt working?
Ditch the GPS. It’s ruining your brain - Washington Post
Over the past four years, I’ve spoken with master navigators from different cultures who showed me that practicing navigation is a powerful form of engagement with the environment that can inspire a greater sense of stewardship. Finding our way on our own — using perception, empirical observation and problem-solving skills — forces us to attune ourselves to the world. And by turning our attention to the physical landscape that sustains and connects us, we can nourish “topophilia,” a sense of attachment and love for place.
can you get a ticket for walking a bike on the sidewalk?
Yesterday I took a citibike from 24 and 7 and walked the bike on sidewalk to begin riding at 25 and 7th. It was crowded and the bike annoyed people. Someone told me I could get a ticket, I don't think that's true...

Prophecy
What did Rudy Giuliani reply when asked about a recent poltical unfolding situation? Something to the effect that is already happened, but people didn't know it yet.
That's what I say about electric bikes. Just the fact that currently there aren't a lot of them out there does not mean they haven't already irreversibly changed our culture.
