SUNDAY 3/13, B17+/55, Usual Suspects Training Series #1 - Welfare Jasper

START: Meets 8:30 AM at GCT

FINISH: 5:13 PM at Southeast Metro North

LEADERS: Michael Notaro, Neile Weissman

WHAT: East out of Southeast. Loop around Squantz Pond. Northwest to Wingdale for half portions of Big W's BBQ. South to Southeast for train home and leftovers.

TERRAIN: Very hilly. 4500' climbing. Some hardpack.

BRING: A musette, or some storage, for leftovers, plus the usual: liquids-snacks; front/rear flashers; spare tubes/tire; maps or GPS.

Does anyone have Cablevision and get News 12 Brooklyn (or Long Island)? They interviewed me at the Park Slope Community Board meeting tonight, but I don't have Cablevision and don't get that channel. Would be interested in knowing if it airs and how it came out.

The weather is not cooperating but that's ok. The sunnier and warmer it gets, the more riders we'll sign up. Thanks to those who have gotten out already, including Ron and Dana, and those who have dropped petitions at their LBS. Adrienne's petition ride in the park on Monday is on the rides listing page.

Greetings fellow bikers ~ i recently joined NYCC and participated in the classification ride last Saturday (what gorgeous weather we had!). i rented a hybrid bike which was not a positive experience as it was not fit exactly to my size and was heavier than a road bike. are there any ladies out there who have a loaner bike they'd be willing to let me use esp during the first month so i don't have to keep renting nor RUSH into buying a bike? i'd love to get the feel of a loaner bike and would consider purchasing later down the line if it was well adored and gently used and suited to my mesurements.

Too late to get into the eweekly, but I am leading a C 13 ride this Sunday to meet up with Maggie's birthday ride to Tenafly train station. Leaving 9:30 from Eleanor Roosevelt, 72nd and RSD. It's a recovery ride, in my case from the Winter. And don't forget to Spring forward.

How long is it exacly, and when will be last ride of it?
