Hey, what happened to the red light thread?
I am disappointed in another deletion of an entire thread. If the MB moderators feel a post is inappropriate, delete that post. The identities of the 3 principles were known contributors to the MB. A heated discussion about an important topic to the cycling community should not be taken off because (?) it’s unsightly? Free expression is a highly prized right that is not available in many parts of the world.
HS, a long time leader/route master, posted a thoughtful reply to my post on Sunday and I am disappointed that for some unknown (to me) reason. The whole thing has been deleted.
Please use more discretion in deleting post in the future. I thought we spent all this time and money to get a new website was so that we can have a better MB.

container recommended for homemade energy gel ?
Does anyone make their own energy gel? You know, something like a Gu (http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Gel-Mandarin-Orange-24-Count/dp/B003V1TNJY). If so, can you recommend a container to take it out on a bike ride? Something squeezable (again, like a Gu) seems like a good way to go, but am glad to hear any suggestions.
I'm interested in bringing along more foods with me that I've put together myself.
Thanks,
Matt

B vs C rides
Can anyone explain the general difference between C and B rides in a little more detail than 'leisurely' and 'moderate'? I did look around the nycc site for more information, but perhpas I'm not lookign where I should be. It seems like the descriptions would refer more to speed, which should be indicated by the number listed with the letter, right? So is a B16 hillier or more technical than a C16? Thanks in advance for any clarification!
