Odwalla bars for the taking at Tuesday's meeting

Submitted by amn on Sun, 07/10/2011 - 9:52pm

If anyone attending the club meeting this week would like a sampling of Odwalla bars, shoot me an email with the link on the left. I'm part of Active Ambassadors, a brand sponsorship program for amateur athletes, and am sponsored this year by Odwalla. I'll bring you a sample pack to the meeting. I do need a photo or two with your smiling faces and some Odwalla bars as proof that I shared the bars and didn't eat all of them myself. If you have any feedback on the bars, Odwalla would love hear your thoughts.

Below are the current flavors I have. If you find a favorite flavor, I will get another shipment later this year of bars and drink coupons.

The GWB south walkway was closed this morning 7/10 for a good cause....

For those who "enjoyed" the scenery and extra workout this morning on the George Washington Bridge, here's why....it was for a good cause.  Chris Blethen's original goal was to aise $3,000 or 1 dollar for every mile which he's since increased to $5/mile - to help kids battling cancer.  He rode his horse (one of four) from 'The Big D' (Dallas) to the 'Big Apple.'

17 Jul Peekamoose Century Notes

Submitted by CCollins on Sun, 07/10/2011 - 6:15pm

Scott, Ron, and I are looking forward to leading the Peekamoose Century on 17 July.  Based on the outstanding rides we've had on the Poughkeepsie Hunter Loop and the Tour De Gunks, it promises to be a great day!

Here are some notes and clarifications to the ride listing:

Meetup and Departure: Meet at GCT @ 730 for the 747 to Poughkeepsie.  If you're meeting us at 125th st, please e-mail the ride leaders and let us know to look for you.  Please buy a roundtrip ticket so that eating, drinking, and boarding the return train at Poughkeepsie are "stress-free".
