Best routes to North Shore of LI from 59th street bridge
I am looking for the most bike-friendly routes to the north shore of LI via the 59th street bridge.
I have looked at some of the Q sheets from the ride library but wondering which are the favorites for:
low traffic and simplicity
Thanks.
where's my gear?
Ordered shirt & socks. Never heard a word. Wassup? Am I supposed to do something?

2010 Felt DA TT Bike - Brand New Never Ridden Frame
Another teammate is selling another tri bike. He's *really, really* fast, so it was obviously a very fast bike. ;-) (I think the frame is new because the company replaced it for him).

Need suggestions on GPS - one can give turn-by-turn direction and can import cue sheet
I'd like to get a GPS with 2 key features:
1. type in a destination and it gives you turn-by-turn directions
2. I can import cue sheet in. And when I missed a turn, it will auto-correct and find an alternative to get back on track
Thanks in advance
Summer Streets!
For three upcoming Saturdays, Summer Streets will close Park Avenue to cars from Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park and open it up to people.
NYCC will be there, down at the Bicycle Hub on Lafayette Street between Spring and Prince, providing free bike repair, promoting Escape New York, touting the benefits of membership.
There is no better way to enjoy this street party than to help run our own genius bar!
Meet scores of New Yorkers, answer their questions about the club, about training, routes, and fitness.
Help run NYCC at Summer Streets!

Time to Change My Tires?
Riding in the Bronx yesterday, I had two flats on my front tire, which may be a sign that the tire has gone bald. The tire was a Continental Grand Prix 4000 with 2,053 miles on it.
After the first flat, I'm pretty sure I removed anything that might have been lodged in the tire before installing the new tube. So I don't ascribe the second flat to an object lodged in the tire.
2000 miles doesn't sound like alot to me, even though I take the Grand Prix to be a better, and therefore thinner, tire. This was, after all, the Bronx, where there's alot of road debris. How often should I change a tire like the Grand Prix?

Is it still possible to get one?
