Error by Online Store for NYCC Clothing

Submitted by BMirell on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 9:25pm

Primal is offering a 20% discount to anyone placing an order for NYCC clothing because they were late on previously placed orders. Wouldn't it make more sense to offer a credit to those people who were actually affected by the error...?

Teach Adults and Kids how to Ride Bikes!

Submitted by thaney on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 2:59pm

Bike New York, a non-profit bicycling organization, is looking for volunteers to teach our bike education classes.

Bike New York volunteers give New Yorkers the life-changing skill of riding a bicycle through teaching bike education classes.  Our classes are free to the public, and held in all five boroughs, from the spring to the fall.  Once volunteers go through a brief (and free) training session, they are qualified to teach students of all ages how to ride bicycles, and how to handle their bicycles responsibly and safely.  Volunteers are compensated with sweet prizes, many fun social events, and based on amount of time volunteering, free entry to Bike New York rides, including the 5 Boro Tour.

Where to buy German Cycling Maps/ Guides in Manhattan

Does anyone know where in Manhattan I might find a detailed bike map of the Munich area? I'm specifically interested in a bike route along the Isar river.

what to do w/old chains?

Submitted by GYang on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 12:55pm

I hate wasting good stuff.

Just changed my chain after reaching the 0.75% stretch mark. It still "looks" good-cleaned up it would look even better. Its a DA 10 speed chain.

Suggestions for what to do with it? would Recycle a Bicycle want it? Jewelry? Art? Physics teachers? Rube goldberg devices?
