A friend of mine just sent this to me. It is a brilliant idea, maybe New York could think about this alternative.!!

I'm intrested in training and riding the 2016 GranFondo - I'm - B-16 rider - looking for a couple of riders who would want to train and do this ride together - It will be easier pace lining than doing it solo.

Couldn't post reply-tried-something amiss.
Of course they get complaints about us, BUT don't get complaints about the pedestrians, the dogs, the cars that almost KILL US. WHY--we don't call in and complain--
Every time you have a safety issue(I will start doing this) call the precinct and complain
Isn't it time we stop being passive and getting ticketed and see the real dangerous isues being ignored or worse.
Possible B17/18 posting for Christmas Eve: would you come?
I'm thinking of posting a B17/18 ride for December 24, which'd start moderately early-morning and go into the afternoon. Figure on a 45-50 mile total distance.
MNR and LIRR trains don't allow bikes on Christmas Eve, all day, and I don't want to go to Jersey. So I'm thinking along the lines of Grant's Tomb rollout, going up into Westchester and climbing some hills there, then heading back south and finishing out the ride at the Woodlawn 4 train station.
We shouldn't count on lunch spots being open, either, so it'll be a BYOL affair.
