A19/20 Pace

Great weather for a quick ride up HH Drive and back via 9W. Roll out at 7:45. Climb at your own pace and regroup at the Alpine Police Station.

A friend of mine just sent this to me.   It is a brilliant idea,  maybe New York could think about this alternative.!!

GranFondo NJ 2016

Submitted by ejlat on Thu, 12/17/2015 - 10:41am

I'm intrested in training and riding the 2016 GranFondo - I'm - B-16 rider - looking for a couple of riders who would want to train and do this ride together - It will be easier pace lining than doing it solo.

Couldn't post reply-tried-something amiss.

Of course they get complaints about us, BUT don't get complaints about the pedestrians, the dogs, the cars that almost KILL US.   WHY--we don't call in and complain--

Every time you have a safety issue(I will start doing this) call the precinct and complain

Isn't it time we stop being passive and getting ticketed and see the real dangerous isues being ignored or worse.

Possible B17/18 posting for Christmas Eve: would you come?

Submitted by MHiller on Wed, 12/16/2015 - 10:04am

I'm thinking of posting a B17/18 ride for December 24, which'd start moderately early-morning and go into the afternoon. Figure on a 45-50 mile total distance.

MNR and LIRR trains don't allow bikes on Christmas Eve, all day, and I don't want to go to Jersey. So I'm thinking along the lines of Grant's Tomb rollout, going up into Westchester and climbing some hills there, then heading back south and finishing out the ride at the Woodlawn 4 train station.

We shouldn't count on lunch spots being open, either, so it'll be a BYOL affair.

Gran Fondo NJ - Team NYCC

Submitted by EWeiss on Tue, 12/15/2015 - 1:08pm

Dear NYCC Members,

I hope that you are well and enjoying a healthy and joyful holiday season.

I am forming an NYCC team for Gran Fondo NJ, which will be held on September 11, 2016.

I have chosen to create "Team NYCC" now, because not only do registration prices go up on January 1, 2016, the team discount also drops on that date from 20% to 15% (and will continue to drop by 5% every 3 months thereafter). You must register as a member of "Team NYCC" to receive the team discounted registration price.
