Still stripped as of noon today, August 8.

Generally speaking I'd recommend taking the center lane rather than the curbside lane, since the center lane is mostly free of plumbing and it will take you past the bus stop more smoothly. 

Bike Bag Borrow Request if you have one

Have a new bike that I'd like to travel with but my current bike bag requires taking off the fork - with hydraulic brakes this makes it more cumbersome. Anyone out there willing to part with their bike case next weekend (Fri - Mon)? Thanks! Carlos

That’s because we have elections every year! And nominations are now open for our fifteen Director/Officer positions. Just click on the Carousel, and you will be taken to the Nomination form.
 
We urge all members to consider performing this necessary service to the Club. Besides, it’s fun! And you get a slice (or two) of pizza and a beer at each Board meeting on the first Tuesday of the month.
 
A list of the available positions appears below, along with those members of the current Board who have agreed to run again. That said, ALL seats are “open”, and we hope to offer our members the widest choice of candidates.

New and Looking for People to Ride with

Hey all, I just moved into Brooklyn a short while ago, and picked up road biking (so far I am loving it.) I have been riding all my rides alone though, and I would like to change that. I'm 22 and looking for a good group of people to ride with in Brooklyn. Please let me know if anyones interested.  

Piermont's roads close tomorrow (Sat.) at 1PM

Marc Simkin was good to post his note about the closure of Piermont Road tomorrow due to a parade. https://nycc.org/message-board/piermont-road-closure-sat-sept-8th/90232  I take the liberty of putting this in a new thread lest it be lost in his. I just spoke with the Piermont Police Dept. The roads in Piermont won't close until 1PM.

Meet the Routes Director

Escape New York 2018 is just a couple of weeks away. 
 
It's a special honor for Gil Yang to design the 2018 routes. Escape New York 2009 was where the door to road cycling opened up for Gil. It was the first time he escaped New York City on a bike.
