Anyone know the condition of skyline drive north of 287 and south of Ringwood?

Just wondering how rideable it now is or should we plan to take a detour around that section of road.

I understand that the road was milled a couple of years ago and that it has not been resurfaced. The city of Ringwood told me that it was intentionally roughened to slow traffic down and so may not get resurfaced. Passaic County told me it was milled to improve traction and that it was to be resurfaced next summer.
