Congratulations Jay on achieving your 2012 goal of riding 9000 miles as of yesterday. And, for leading a terrific ride today, even though I did bail early.

Teaneck Lunch Ride 12/25 start time change

Submitted by DHudes on Mon, 12/24/2012 - 3:35pm

Given our route, the weather and the time of our lunch reservation I've pushed the start time back to a 10 AM departure. Plenty of room left on the ride. I spoke to the restauraunt, they can give us a table for 20 and accomodate another 5-6 people at another table (at which point we've pretty much taken over the entire place -- which they think is great). At this writing there are 13 spots available.

Lunch is at Royal Persian Grill in Teaneck.

Note: there is < 10% chance of rain or snow by 9AM in Manhattan. The rain will certainly stop by 6 AM.

Time change for Yuletime Noodling Ride

Submitted by jpiven on Sun, 12/23/2012 - 9:31pm

Hi folks,

Apologies, but due to sundry festivial obligations and such, Yuletide Noodling must commence at 9am Monday.

(That's an hour earlier than the scheduled time.)

We're doing a Lil' Torture ride, just in case anyone wants to come climb with us.

Thanks,

Jer & Kaz

Some clarification on the Dutch...

Submitted by busschops on Sun, 12/23/2012 - 12:04pm

No, Holland is not a town near Amsterdam, and the Dutch don't all wear wooden shoes or eat cheese all day. Beer stories on the other hand, they might very well be true...

Nevertheless, to clarify some Dutch issues once and for all, so we can focus on our riding skills without being distracted by confusing stories from Dutch co-riders like myself, please watch this very helpful video on the Dutch, Holland, The Netherlands and why it actually all makes sense in some strange way...

Mobile App Development Assistance

Submitted by nyccadmin on Sat, 12/22/2012 - 10:56am

In an effort to better serve our tech-savy members, we'd like to create mobile applications that would enable members to browse the message board, join/withdraw from rides, route to ride start, and some other useful features. To that end, we're looking to recruit a few good men/women to help with the development and testing.

If you have mobile application development experience and are willing to donate some of your time towards this effort please email [email protected] for more details.

Happy Holidays All!
