I'm looking for recommendation for a good, affordable wheel builder. What are peoples thoughts?

Also, I found older messages announcing wheel builder classes/workshops. This interests me greatly; does anyone know if something like this is likely to take place this year?

I am officially cancelling tomorrow morning's "Morning Laps in Central Park" ride because of the weather forecast and for personal reasons (I am tired from a long hard weekend -- working Saturday and strenuous ride Sunday).

A general question: Is it necessary to post a message about a ride here or is just seending an e-mail to folks who cared enough to sign up suffice?

anyone know where to get 700x23 or 700x25 gum wall tires?

After fifteen+ years on my trusty hybrid with toe cages, I'm buying a mid-level road bike and switching to the (oddly named but I get it) 'clipless' tech. Looking for any steerage on a source and/or brand for shoes. My feet are a bit weird: wider at the toe end, with narrow heels. So shopping for street and athletic shoes has always been hit or miss. Have spent some horrible days in non-fitting ski boots/skates.

Online or brick-and-mortar, all suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance!
