Hi NYCC team,
Sad News from Nyack
.
My non-cycling friends in Nyack tells me Didier Dumas was sold to new owners recently. He's still around to ease the transition for the new management.
Here is the article from last year when he put it on the market.

Nyack has lost another artist. Good luck in his travels.

Looking for a ride buddy for PP laps 1x/week
Hey all -- I'm just getting back to regular riding after a 7-year hiatus (coincidentally, my twins just turned 7...) Looking for someone who is interested in meeting up once a week do some laps around prospect park, normally at 630 or 7am on a weekday morning (Tuesday or a Wednesday). I'm slow (14-17 mph average); this will be a mixture of a social and training ride but most of all we will cause each other to actually do this once a week! Email me at [email protected] if you're interested. If I can actually be disciplined about this, I'll eventually turn it into a group ride....

Need a "Pro" Wrench recommendation
Recently, prior to shipping it here to NYC, I had our Trek Madones upgraded from all-mechanical Shimano 10-speed components to Campy 12-speed.
The LA shop that did the conversion left something to be desired and while I am knowledgable with Shimano systems enough to know my limitations, I'm totally unfamilar with Campy.
Can anyone recommend a "Pro" shop with a truly good mechanic familiar with high-end mechanical systems? Do these mechanics even exist any longer?
I want to get a total tune-up and need someone who's worked with such gear and isn't just relying on YouTube videos!

New cafe on River Road!
Great news: at the bottom of the Alpine hill, at the Alpine Marina, there is a new cafe with coffees, croissants, sandwiches, energy bars, gatorades, etc. it is run by a really nice guy, Alex, who hopes to become part of our cycling world. Nice pit stop if you don't feel like going all the way to the 9W Market. Good clean bathrooms and water too!
