Hey all - I'm planning on doing the 100 mile route in the North Fork Century event on May 20th. This will be my longest ride yet (have been building up to it in the past few months).

Wondering if anyone wants to partner up for some of all of the route? I'm expecting a B16-ish pace and I'm flexible regarding start time etc.

I am racing in the gran Fondo on June 4th in New Jerseys. Wondering if anyone here will be racing too and if so, let's make a plan to race as a team to help crush those timed sections! 

There has been a petition to remove the 12th st bike lane in Manhattan.  If you have a moment, please fill out the DOT contact form in favor of the 12th st bike lane.  The intersection is 12th st and 6th ave.

Has anyone done a bike trip with Sohourn Bicycling Adventures and/or VBT?  I'm looking for feedback.

On a basic Garmin computer (I have the Explore 1000) is there any way to set the tire size so the speed sensor will give a correct speed? I've looked at the manuals and can't find anything. I just got a Bike Friday with 20" wheels and the Garmin is clearly reading a faster speed than I'm actually doing.

Might move from Manhattan to Queens.  I have been riding in Central Park for years and am addicted to that 6 mile loop with minimal lights/stops.  Is there anything similar in Queens?  Where do people in Queens go for 25-35 mile rides on a weekday afternoon or morning?
