Basically . . anything circular from a bike?  (except chains)

I'd like to do a holiday project with them. (And - - happy to help ya clear out some old stuff laying around :>)

Thank you!

Has anyone ever approached Bear from the Gatehill direction.

Submitted by mgeller1 on Mon, 11/28/2016 - 8:26am

Was thinking about new route options.  I normally approach Bear from either 9w or from Seven lakes. I've never ridden GateHill/Ceder Flats going North (I've only done it South ala GFNY route). Any fans? It seems mostly downhill after doing the WillowGrove/Gatehill Strava segment which was a little disappointing.

Commuting to midtown Manhattan from eastern Queens - your favorite route?

Submitted by nyccjohnw on Sun, 11/27/2016 - 8:57pm

Anyone care to drop some commuting knowledge on me?

I recently moved from Park Slope, one of the most bike commuter-friendly neighborhoods in the city, to Forest Hills — a neighborhood that I've known, and have now experienced, to be very very car-centric

I've been troubleshooting my commute to the far-West side of midtown Manhattan. At the same time, I'm slowly learning which roads in Queens to avoid. (Like Myrtle Avenue for instance, which is just pure vehicular manslaughter.)

Would anyone have a great playlist they can make available to our holiday party?  Thanks,  Bob

Cargo bike makers

Submitted by EODonnell on Thu, 11/24/2016 - 7:41am

My company is planning on purchasing 3 cargo trikes to make pickups in Manhattan.  We need something that would have a sizable bin to hold maybe 5 – 10, 30-gallon garbage bags filled with clothes.  The bin should be enclosed and lockable, as we would go from building to building and would need to lock it while the cyclist driver went inside to make pickups.  Revolution Rickshaw is one possibility.  Any others?
