Volunteer Recognition Party is February 28th

Submitted by nycgabby on Sun, 02/05/2017 - 5:13pm

Calling all 2016 volunteers--we want you to come out and party! It's time to celebrate all the great work you put into keeping the club's wheels turning last year. So please join us for a meal at IchiUmi on Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 6-9 p.m.

The food and your first drink are on the house.

Details and the sign-up form are here: https://nycc.org/volunteer/party2017

This year is going to be extra special, as we're including Escape New York volunteers in the festivities. Also, as always, we welome all other volunteers--so, if you volunteered for a club event, at a club meeting, led multiple rides, or led SIG rides, then you qualify!

Saturday Hike in Harriman - Climbing Diamond Mountain

Submitted by nymultisport on Wed, 02/01/2017 - 9:14pm
The Snow Devils are out again. This Saturday we're climbing Diamond Mountain, a relatively-easy Harriman State Park hike, with Manhattan-skyscraper views from the summit. Route features almost a mile-long walk along cascading Pine Meadow and Stony Brook streams, a rock scramble up the Cascade of Slid, plus a couple of non-technical spots where you'll use your arms as well as legs. Picnic lunch at our private--well, semi-private-- Pine Meadow Lake overlook.

If you've hiked/snowshoed with us in past years, or have some hiking experience as well as winter gear and clothing, we have a couple of car seats open...
