Submitted by AResnick on Wed, 11/15/2017 - 4:52pm

As of Wednesday the previously MILLED section is now fully PAVED !!! Of course the seam is showing in a few places and will probably need repatching by December 15th !!!

the paving is smooth from curb to curb; slightly bumpy just before 102 cut-off-going over bridge-section of 40-50 feet not newly paved(duh??)

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims Sunday Nov. 19 12-2

Submitted by HSchachter on Tue, 11/14/2017 - 8:01pm

Will you stand with Families for Safe Streets (FSS) at World Remembrance Day? Each year FSS, an affiliate of Transportation Alternatives,  remembers the many New Yorkers killed in traffic crashes and works to increase safety so we can achieve Vision Zero--no more deaths. This year's Day of Remembrance will highlight our campaign to have the state legislature pass a bill enabling New York City to install more safety cameras near schools. Speeding is a major cause of traffic deaths but the Albany legislature severely limits the number of cameras we can install to help address the problem.

Date: Sunday, November 19

Time; 12 to 2

Place: City Hall Park (near Centre Street and Broadway in Manhattan)

Late ride listing

Submitted by RWechsler on Fri, 11/10/2017 - 10:48pm

I’ve just submitted a 63 mile B-17 Long Island ride for Sunday (Nov 12).

Not yet approved, so not in ride listings yet.

Email me if you’re interested.

Work off all that food by joining the 23rd annual NYCC climb over a couple of small mountains in Harriman State Park.
